Suminter is an integrated company that aims to involve itself in each step from training farmers, growing the produce and then processing and packaging these goods.
Suminter is directly working with 20,000 marginal farmers in 9 states, across 1,00,000 acres of certified agriculture land to procure organic produce. Suminter identifies tribal belts that grow organic products across the Indian peninsula and conduct rigorous due diligence to identify farmer consortiums and marginal farmers that are traditionally growing organic products. We add value by providing constant hand holding, training on Good Environmental Practices [GEP] and build capacity to ensure it is 100% organic as well as increase farmer’s yields.
Suminter conducts processing at its manufacturing unit, Bergwerff Organic India in Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Indore. The facility that is spread across 15,000 sq. mts. is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery such as Eco2 Natural Fumigation Systems and Imtech-Steri steam sterilization unit. Along with the latest machinery, we have implemented HACCP and BRC ‘A’ into our facility, for high-quality specialized organic food processing.
Suminter's has a dedicated Quality Assurance team and an in-house laboratory equipped with all the necessary apparatus to test on all physical, microbial and chemical parameters. Additionally to support in-house testing, Suminter conducts tests at world-renowned laboratories.
